The BEng Electronic Engineering program is designed to train skilled and professional Electronic Engineers, ready to address the challenges and opportunities in modern industrial and commercial settings. Throughout the course, students will build foundational skills in electronics design, progressively enhancing these abilities. This program covers the essential principles of designing and implementing current analogue and digital systems applicable across diverse fields, with hands-on experience in realizing these systems. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers as Design Engineers, CAD Technicians, and Electrical Engineers, with opportunities in industries such as electronics, automotive, IT, telecommunications, manufacturing, and beyond.
Entry Requirements
To apply for this course, applicants will require the following:
A-level - BBC including a C or above from a numerate subject or physics; or,
112 UCAS points with 32 in a numerate subject or Engineering; or
BTEC - DMM in a numerate or science subject; or
Access requirements - Overall pass: must include 45 credits at level 3, of which all 45 must be at Merit or higher;
A combination of A-Level, BTEC and other accepted qualifications that total 112 UCAS points with 32 in a numerate subject or Engineering; or
EU/Overseas high school diploma.
English Language Requirements
You will need to meet English language requirements:
IELTS Overall score required 6.0, and minimum 5.5 in each component
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with minimum 59 in each component
Language Cert International ESOL Exam B2 SELT version ONLY with High Pass overall and minimum 33 in each component
TOEFL Overall score required 72, inlcuding Listening: 17, Reading: 18, Writing: 17, Speaking: 20
