This undergraduate degree equips students with the essential skills to become dietitians—the only qualified health professionals trained to assess, diagnose, and manage diet and nutrition-related issues on both individual and public health scales.
The program covers the latest scientific research and public health guidelines on food, health, and disease, offering practical insights to support healthier lifestyle and dietary choices. Throughout the course, students will explore how nutrition impacts the management of various health conditions, developing the expertise needed to provide dietetic care to individuals, groups, and communities at risk of chronic health issues.
Entry Requirements
To apply for this course, applicants will require the following:
a minimum of grades BBB in three A levels including grade B or above in Biology and Chemistry (or a minimum of 120 UCAS points)
English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C/grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
10 days (or more) of recent (within the last two years) work experience in a care environment
attendance at a dietetics career event
an enhanced DBS Check for the Adults' and Children's Workforce
clearance for non-exposure prone procedures (EPP) by an approved occupational health service
attended and passed an interview
English Language Requirements
English certificates to meet the conditions for this course are:
IELTS Overall score required 7.0, and minimum 6.5 in each component
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with minimum 70 in each component
Cambridge C1 Advanced, formerly Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) – grade C and above
Cambridge C2 Proficiency, formerly Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) – grade C and above
LanguageCert International ESOL Exam C1 LRWS with minimum 25 in each component
TOEFL Overall score required 72, inlcuding Listening: 22, Reading: 24, Writing: 24, Speaking: 25
