At ARU London, students can take their first steps toward a career as a solicitor or barrister, with the course designed to qualify them for the next stage of legal training. Both academic and practical aspects of law are covered, providing a strong foundation for a legal career while also equipping students with skills valued in a range of other fields.
As students progress through core modules, they gain essential knowledge of the fundamental elements of the UK and EU legal systems and the broader context in which law functions. Throughout their studies, they engage in critical analysis with peers, solve legal problems, and conduct independent research, enhancing their ability to build and present complex legal arguments.
Entry Requirements
To apply for 3 years course, applicants will require one of the following:
A levels BCC (or a minimum of 96 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification).
BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM in a business-related subject.
International Baccalaureate Diploma: 24 points.
Irish Leaving Certificate: BBCCC.
Scottish Highers: BBCCC.
EU/Overseas high school diploma.
Additionally, all applicants are required to have at least 3 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths ot quivalent.
To apply for 4 years course, applicants will require one of the following:
6 months of recent work experience ;
a minimum of 32 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification);
EU/Overseas high school diploma.
